I took a fairly circuitous route to becoming a Personal Trainer and Sports Massage Therapist. Always sporty and mad about the outdoors, in my wisdom I decided that I should become a desk bound lawyer. I spent over 10 years working for international law firms – yet every spare minute trying to get outdoors to adventure and exercise. So, when my law firm announced redundancies a few weeks before my second child was due – whilst a scary prospect to leave the corporate world – it was the perfect kick I needed to change direction.  I re-trained as a Personal Trainer, then a Sports Massage Therapist and then a British Triathlon Coach - and life is now very different!

I live with my family near Guildford in Surrey.  I love trail running and long distance triathlons. I compete mostly in Half Ironman triathlons and have won my age group, podiumed multiple times and qualified for and competed at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships. I also do road half and full marathons and ultra distance trail runs. I always train and race for my own enjoyment and with a smile. I have completed the 250km 'hardest footrace in the world', the Marathon des Sables.  My biggest challenge though – to refuse dunking a biscuit with a cuppa!!
