Easy Granola Bar
This easy recipe will give you a tasty, but healthy treat!
8 tbsp set honey
4 tbsp water
75g low fat spread
25g each of porridge oats & desiccated coconut
1 tsp cinnamon
50g each of walnuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds
150g raisins or sultanas
10 each of dried apricots & dates, roughly chopped
10g sesame seeds
Melt the low fat spread, honey & water in a large sauce pan over very low heat for 3-4 mins stirring continuously. Add all the remaining ingredients. Butter the baking tin and add mixture, flatten it down. Bake for 25-30 mins on 150′ until it is firm to touch and a light golden colour. Remove from the oven & leave to cool for 30 mins. Cut into small squares. Put in an air tight container in the fridge. They freeze well too.
